Enhancing your Breasts

Breast enhancement surgery involves a number of different surgical procedures, the most well known of which is breast augmentation, which is enlargement of the breast. A lift procedure or mastopexy improves the nipple position by bringing it up on the chest. This procedure does not necessarily create upper pole fullness or restore tone to the breast tissue. The lift plus augmentation procedure does the most to simulate the restoration of breast tone and shape.

There are different types of breast lift procedures which require different types of skin incisions. The simplest type of lift involves an incision just around the areola. More extensive lifts require additional incisions on the underside of the breast and in the crease beneath the breast.
